Café Fontane in Luebbenau

Delicious food and friendly service. I would love to come back again. The heating could be on for the end of October.

We had ordered a table by phone 1 week ago, and today we got the worst place at the counter area where it is restless and fast because the beer garden door kept opening and closing, in the back area where it is quiet and cozy, guests spontaneously got space. Staff made faces like 3 days of rain, you didn't feel welcome. The food from the kitchen was great, thank goodness, only the staff was flop.

Very tasty food and a nice beer garden, which is nicely isolated from the street. The service is very polite (looks like a family business with father, mother daughter?) - in any case, everyone was very attentive, friendly and nice. We had the grill plate and the steak - both very good. Prices are high, but fits the performance and we like to spend more money for that, especially when it's your birthday;) thanks for the nice lunch :) - especially great: dog-friendly - our little dog also dusted something :)

I'm practically a regular customer there because I appreciate good food. The place is cozy, the staff extremely friendly and the menu is extensive. From home cooking to typical Spreewald, everything is included. The dishes are always warm and freshly prepared. The arrangement on the plates is also something for the eye. The drinks menu also offers everything you could wish for. The coffee drinks are delicious, the cakes are homemade. Everything to be recommended through and through! Everyone will find something here, regardless of whether it is lunch, coffee or dinner. The atmosphere in the beer garden is cozy and particularly invites you to spend the evening. The toilets are also clean! Everything is right here and I can only recommend the Fontane. By far one of the best restaurants in Lübbenau.

If you don't get a seat at 8pm, although tables are free, but if you ask for them to be “set for tomorrow” ... then you can unfortunately give a maximum of two stars. Although the menu sounded very promising and the food was delicious on a previous visit. A shame ... Our conclusion: In the Spreewald you have to sit down for dinner by 7 p.m. at the latest, otherwise you unfortunately have to go to bed hungry.

The food and service are simply sensational! The only drawback of the lack of regional beer was made up for by a very good wine recommendation. It's worth coming back there. But: better reserve in advance.

We had found out about the surrounding restaurants before our vacation and Cafe Fantane was on our list. Unfortunately they didn't want us there as guests. When asked whether we can and may order a table for the coming evening, the blonde lady answered, in a somewhat unfriendly tone, that the tables that were still free would rather be kept free for walk-in customers. We could stop by in the evening and maybe we would be lucky. We preferred to refuse, if you don't want it, you already have.

You can sit inside or outside in the café / restaurant. Central location in the old town. The service is very good, the prices are high. There is a good selection of pies and a menu for hearty food. This includes salads, pasta as well as fish and meat dishes. Great emphasis is placed on the quality of the ingredients.

On our last day of vacation we had a delicious dinner in the garden. The dishes stand out pleasantly from the usual heavy Spreewald fare. The service was very friendly and the prices are in our opinion ok for the quality of the offer. We would love to come back!

This restaurant is an absolute insider tip. Everything was perfect. Starting with the wine advice, a really great offer on the menu and above all the friendly advice and good entertainment by the staff. The ambience is also very appealing and cozy. We felt so comfortable here that we were back 2 days later. We can only say: 3x thumbs up and keep it up.

Our family completely convinced the Cafe Fontane today! After a short waiting time (5min) we had a table even with full occupancy. The food (Argentine steak for me, shrimp for my husband and lamb back for my son) made us all smile. The service was unprecedented and the ambience in the beer garden was absolutely perfect. We can only recommend trying it yourself.

We only stopped by for a late ice cream, they had live music in the garden and everything- ice cream, atmosphere, service and music- was delightful.
